From the shop owner: A loud tinny sound was heard by our table settings -this badge was tossed against my friend's sweater and landed between us. She quickly grabbed the item, looked at it and handed it me. She said, "I think this was meant for you."

The item was the badge you see here. I stood up from my seat and looked up and down the sidewalk. Both sides of Sunset Blvd. were full of the usual Sunday night crowd and I didn't think calling out, "Who tossed the Devil Button?" would be very productive. I let it go and finished my meal.

The following day, I looked at the badge again, still curious as to who tossed a Devil button at our table, I noticed a smell coming from the badge -it was cinnamon oil. This badge was no simple Hollywood novelty -it had been consecrated...
