CALAMUS *Root, Powdered

This organic Herb is available NOW to order
This herb is a psychedelic. One-thousand years prior to the Renaissance; during the Middle Ages, Calamus was an ingredient in several of the ancient, Psychoactive, "Witches Flying" ointments. It has been regarded as an aphrodisiac in India and Egypt for over 2,500 years.

General information: Eating Calamus gives a Stimulating, Analgesic (pain relieving) and Euphoric effect. It also has a positive effect on the sex drive. A tea is made by soaking a teaspoon in half a liter of water, and filtering. It is also possible to mix the Calamus with food, like boiled rice and honey. In a higher dosage Calamus can have mind altering and Hallucinogenic effects, depending on the amount taken.

This ancient herb is mentioned in the Bible. It is also used in Ayurvedic medicine for canceling out the negative effects of chronic marijuana smoking. This makes it an especially good smoke for those who are quitting long-term marijuana use. In small doses it is a Stimulant. In large internal doses it is Hallucinogenic. Its main ingredient (TMA) is more Psychoactive by weight than Mescaline. It appears to provide a relaxed, pleasant, mild psychotropic effect.

Dakota Indians of North America use Calamus to treat diabetes, and there are several reported cases where it had cured people who had been given up by Western medicine. When Native Americans chewed Calamus regularly, they would be miraculously cured of this disease within a matter of months.

People have smoked or chewed powdered Calamus because it was reported to destroy the taste for tobacco and thus help break the smoking habit.

In Western herbal medicine the herb is chiefly employed for digestive problems such as gas, bloating, colic, and poor digestive function. Calamus is an effective antispasmodic, relieving spasms of the intestines. Calamus helps distended and uncomfortable stomachs, and headaches associated with weak digestion. Small amounts are thought to reduce stomach acidity, while larger doses increase deficient acid production - this is a good example of how different doses of the same herb can produce different results.

Note: This is pure/natural Calamus - and is used as a tea or food supplement without any negative side effects. As with any herb (health) issue, it is always advised that your physician be made aware of your intention of using it, and that common sense be applied - do not operate machinery while using Calamus as a psychedelic.
