General information: Easy to make tea: Bring water to boil and add sassafras. Let simmer for 10 minutes. Cover, remove from the heat and let steep for 5 minutes. Serve hot with or without sugar.

Tribal Americans used a tea of sassafras bark of root to bring down a fever. Also they smoked the bark of the root.

Medicinal properties: Aromatic, stimulant, alterative, diaphoretic, diuretic, antiseptic, which is highly aromatic. Sassafras is used in the cosmetic and perfume industry.
