ACACIA GUM *Powdered

General information: Acacia gum is added to hot water to form a throat lozenge also prevent a queasy stomach. Currently, it is most popularly used in conjunction with Weight Loss products.

It is reported that the Masai use a tea made of Acacia Gum powder as a nerve stimulant - Nubians used it medicinally for its mind soothing properties - today some people use it to slow down the absorption of alcohol or tobacco - Acacia reportedly increases the sedating effects of other herbs without reacting with them by combining one tablespoon of acacia with 5 ounces of water, place into a closed bottle, shake occasionally, allow to dissolve, and keep refrigerated.
