Ode To The Intrepid Voyager
Oliver I. Spence
Leave undone no quest nor yield to little minds of small men filled with fear.
Take no consul with frightened memory or illusion.
Never smell the dismal air of despair.
It is better to choke on the dust of brave men.
Embrace the unknown with faith of the promise of living in a passionate paradise.
Pray tell, the tales of lights deep in the Abyss
where tears are sowed and hoplessness reaped from rivers of dreams unrealized.
be they of burning brimstone embers,
The reflection of stars on polished tombstones,
Diamonds from the underworld
Seeking true lovers from above.
I hunger to know all that is.
I am possessed by a passion,
even in the shadow of all man, Angels and Gods.
